Start in 2026 SummerThornton Tomasetti applies engineering and scientific principles to solve the world’s challenges. The Intern will be responsible for the assessment and detailing of building envelopes, running relevant analyses, and coordinating project work with the team.
Industrial Engineering
Responsibilities
Researches materials and systems to determine specific project suitability
Coordination of design work with in-house staff as we as other design professionals including Architects and other Engineering disciplines
Prepares detailing in 2D and 3D format for client communication
Assists in construction administration, responding to RFIs, and organizing submittal logs
Attends construction meetings, performs site inspections, and prepares field reports for clients
Qualification
Required
Undergraduate or graduate student with a concentration in engineering or architecture
Excellent academic record
Preferred
Experience in Bluebeam, Sketchup, Rhino, Revit, AutoCAD is helpful but not required
