New Grad, Entry LevelServingSchools is seeking a caring and dependable PreK Educational Technician for Marcia Buker Elementary School. The Ed Tech will support young learners with academic, behavioral, and life skills in a safe and inclusive PreK environment, working under the direction of the classroom teacher.
Education
Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one support for students with autism or other significant needs
Assist students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs using positive guidance techniques
Help supervise students in the classroom, playground, cafeteria, and during transitions
Assist with self-care and other personal needs, as appropriate
Communicate positively, professionally, and collaboratively with students, staff, and families
Follow safety procedures, classroom rules, and school protocols
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required; Ed Tech II or III certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Experience working with young children with developmental disabilities
Patience, flexibility, and a supportive, team-oriented approach
Basic technology skills (e.g., tablets, interactive whiteboards) are a plus
Ability to follow teacher direction and contribute to a highly collaborative classroom and school environment
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
Comfortable sitting on the floor, kneeling, and moving quickly to support young children
Preferred
Ed Tech II or III certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Basic technology skills (e.g., tablets, interactive whiteboards) are a plus
