Claims Analyst

The Haskell Company is focused on managing and analyzing insurance claims related to commercial construction projects. The Claims Analyst will support risk management efforts by ensuring timely claims resolution, identifying risk trends, and collaborating with stakeholders to mitigate future exposures.

Responsibilities

Manage and monitor claims related to general liability, workers’ compensation, builder’s risk, and subcontractor default insurance
Coordinate with insurance carriers, TPAs, legal counsel, and project teams to ensure proper claims handling
Maintain accurate and complete claim documentation in accordance with company policies
Analyze claims data to identify trends, root causes, and areas of risk exposure
Prepare and present regular reports and dashboards to senior management
Recommend improvements to claims handling procedures and risk mitigation strategies
Support training initiatives for project teams on claims prevention and reporting
Serve as a liaison between construction operations, legal, finance, and insurance providers
Provide guidance on insurance coverage, policy interpretation, and claims best practices
Travel as required

Required

Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field
3–5 years of experience in construction claims, preferably in commercial construction
Strong understanding of commercial construction operations and insurance policies (GL, AL, WC, Builder's Risk, SDI)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, claims management systems, and risk analysis tools
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
Establish goals of 'excellency' in work product and ability to constantly strive toward that
