Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Residency Program Director for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. The role involves designing and launching a new OB/GYN residency program, developing educational curricula, and overseeing the academic and professional development of residents.

Responsibilities

Design, strategize, and launch a new OB/GYN residency program

Develop an educational curriculum

Monitor and follow up on residency performance indicators

Strengthen teaching skills of existing staff and prepare for transition to roles as educators

Foster the academic and professional development of residents

Manage clinical scheduling of residents and monitor residents’ duty hours, as required by ACGME regulation

Maintain current knowledge of and compliance with the ACGME Program Requirements

Oversee administration and educational activities

Direct supervision of all program residents and program staff

Provide direct patient care outside of resident program panels, as required

Required

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology

Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in OB/GYN

Experience in residency program administration or leadership

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in medical education

Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and residents

Knowledge of ACGME Program Requirements and accreditation processes

Preferred

Experience in curriculum development

Previous experience as a residency program director or associate program director

Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop faculty and residents

Research experience in medical education or OB/GYN
