Provide both consulting and compliance services for state and local tax obligations
Contribute to the development and mentorship of staff
Support clients and strengthen the team to enhance client experience

Qualification

Bachelor's in AccountingCPAState tax experienceIncome tax complianceManagement skillsResearchAnalysisCommunication skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
CPA or JD required
5+ years of experience in public accounting
Strong state tax background, including experience with consolidated C corporations, partnerships, and S corporations
Experience with state and local income tax compliance and consulting, including apportionment, state modifications, nexus considerations, unitary/combined reporting, and state-level tax planning
Strong organizational, communication, and management skills, with proven experience leading teams and engagements
Demonstrated ability to research, analyze, and communicate complex state tax issues clearly and effectively

Preferred

Master's in Taxation or JD/LLM a plus
Familiarity with state-level implications of mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings preferred
