Northwest Florida State College is seeking a Programmer to play a vital role in supporting the College's mission through data collection and analysis. The role involves developing procedures for data retrieval, maintaining reporting systems, and ensuring data quality and compliance with state and federal requirements.

Responsibilities

Complete state and federal reporting requirements through data collection and analysis characterized by compiling various data sources and creating/using relational databases from various campus departments
Develop procedures and coordinate efforts to facilitate data collection and retrieval through efficient use of technologies for the operation and reporting of State databases
Use programming languages (SQL, PL/SQL, SAS, R, ETC) in conjunction with third-party consultants to maintain, rewrite, and update coding required for reporting to state databases
Work closely with the Report Coordinator, IT, and other technical/non-technical stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into technical specifications and solutions
Implement automated integrity checks, debug data errors, and develop solutions to ensure data quality and compliance
Coordinate the analysis and evaluation of data to validate reports provided by the State and Federal Agencies
Prepare college accountability reports according to documented requirements
Monitor the overall integrity of data, complying with state and federal requirements and taking appropriate steps to correct data discrepancies if applicable
Program digital badge issuance systems automate the recognition of student achievement
Assists in the preparation, follow-up, and writing reports for the college's accreditation agency and in the college's efforts to secure grants
Manage incoming data requests related to completions, grades, and other academic concerns
As part of the College's risk management tool, annual mandatory compliance training is required
Assist with other duties as assigned

Required

Master's degree in relevant field of study with documented five (5) to ten (10) years of relevant work experience
Have experience with, Oracle APEX, SQL Developer, Cognos, Argos, Microsoft and Microsoft Power BI, required, Ellucian Banner recommended
Have knowledge of relational database platforms, including experience in building, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets
Attending professional development and training to stay up to date with legislative issues, policy changes, etc. as needed
Project Management and strong organizational skills are required
