Responsibilities
Lead and grow centralized team of Data Engineers to support Roblox's expanding and evolving Analytics data needs
Establish best practices and standards for data modeling, data operations, data quality and reliability, and data lifecycle management. Ensure rigor through code review and unit test / data quality coverage
Partner with cross-functional leads in Data Science, Product, and Engineering to understand business needs and develop analytics solutions to support them
Design, build, and maintain efficient and reliable batch and streaming data pipelines to support core data sets
Develop scalable frameworks and tooling to automate analytics workflows and streamline users interactions with data products
Qualification
Required
2+ years managing a Data Engineering team
8+ years of professional experience building multi-terabyte datasets and ETL pipelines on industry standard ETL orchestration tools and execution engines
Deep expertise in SQL and PySpark
Proven track record building end-to-end analytics solutions to support Data Science, Experimentation, and Machine Learning applications
Collaborative leader who thrives on mentoring and enabling others to succeed
Comfortable balancing near-term impact with long-term innovation
