Student Teaching Intern
St. Mark's Episcopal School is seeking a Student Teaching Intern to support instructional and grade level programs under the direction of the Lead Teacher and Division Head. The role involves collaborating with teachers to reinforce lessons and assist in creating an effective learning environment for students.
Primary/Secondary Education
Responsibilities
Reinforce lessons presented by teachers by working one-on-one with students or in small groups
Assist in creating an effective learning environment through functional and attractive displays and activity/learning centers
Maintain technology skills in keeping with the vision of the school
Supervise lunch and dismissal duty on a regular basis and other supervisory duties as assigned
Participate in and/support community events
Assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Lead Teacher or Division Head
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an accredited University Education program or related undergraduate or graduate program
A deep desire to educate the whole child
A passion for teaching and learning with a collaborative spirit
Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
Physical agility to lift up to 50 pounds; to bend, stoop, and reach overhead
Work primarily in a traditional climate-controlled office environment
Work intermittently in outside weather conditions, including a range of heat and cold temperatures
A copy of your college transcript
A completed and signed Background inquiry release
Evidence of citizenship or a legal work permit
