Responsibilities

Design highways, local roads, parking lots, traffic signals, and lighting systems
Prepare technical specifications, cost estimates, and design studies
Develop concept plans, grant applications, and technical reports
Provide design support during construction and review engineering drawings
Collaborate with clients, construction teams, and internal stakeholders
Assist in developing project proposals, scopes, schedules, and staffing estimates

Qualification

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)Transportation design experienceMicroStationAutoCADCivil3DMoDOT standardsCommunication skillsOrganizational skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a transportation emphasis
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
5–10+ years of transportation design experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and MicroStation
Knowledge of MoDOT, IDOT, and IL Tollway standards

Preferred

Familiarity with AutoCAD, GEOPAK, OpenRoads, Civil3D, ArcInfo, or Microsoft Project
