Responsibilities

FAE will support the adoption of Advanced Energy power solutions at our customers at all stages of the engagement process from presales activity to postproduction/installation support
FAE support comes in many forms: AE solution recommendations, system architecture guidance, schematic review, on-site customer qualification & debug support, etc.... We want to be thought of as part of our customers’ design team where they actively seek out the FAE to help solve system level problems
Through developing engineering relationships with our customers, the FAE will identify and communicate technical requirements for new applications or customer needs that aren’t served by the current portfolio to the product development. FAE input is critical in definition of new products and roadmap
FAEs regularly provide technology updates and product training to customers, sales, and distribution
As a trusted customer advocate, FAE's must have the confidence and persuasive skills to earn the respect of engineering leaders both internally and with the customer
The FAE’s technical perspective heavily influences the sales strategy

Required

Charismatic communicator that can advocate for customers to an internal audience and for the company to the customer
Solid problem-solving methodology
A passionate and curious technologist with an ability to learn and adapt to industry trends
Extensive knowledge of power electronics with ability to qualify, test, modify, and debug power supplies in the lab as needed
Basic knowledge of digital communication bus such as I2C bus and firmware reloading/rebooting experience
Minimum of 10 years of power electronics design and/or applications experience
BSEE degree
