RS&H is currently seeking an experienced traffic engineer to join their team in Charlotte, NC. The successful candidate will lead and perform diverse traffic engineering work, manage projects, and cultivate client relationships while contributing to a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

Serve as a leader delivering traffic engineering services for NCDOT, SCDOT, City of Charlotte, and other local clients

Actively manage projects and discipline specific tasks including performing project management activities (project scope, schedule, budget, and quality management)

Administer quality management plans and perform thorough, detailed reviews of project deliverables

Assist in marketing responsibilities, including client discovery, proposal generation, interviews, and win-to-work activities

People development including supervising and/or mentoring junior engineering associates

Required

ABET accredited bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

PE License

Minimum 7 years of traffic engineering experience including proven technical leadership (decision-making on technical matters)

Proficient in production and traffic software including HCS, Synchro, Sidra, TransModeler, and MicroStation

Possess strong oral and written communication skills and can effectively interact and build strong relationships with team members, clients, and other key stakeholders

Preferred

Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification
