Surgical Technologist I - 0.6 FTE Weekend Program
Children's Wisconsin is a nationally recognized health system dedicated to the health and well-being of children. They are seeking a Surgical Technologist I to prepare patients and operating rooms for surgery, assist surgeons during procedures, and help orient new personnel to the scrubbing role.

Responsibilities
Prepares for surgical procedures and assists surgeons by passing instruments and supplies, holding retractor and anticipating needs during surgical procedures
Assists with orientation of new personnel to the scrubbing role
Qualification
Required
Completion of one year coursework in an operating room technician program or equivalent experience may also be considered
Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required
Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact effectively with interdisciplinary health team members and consumers
Ability to stand for long periods of time for up to 85% of work time, and lift and move large pieces of equipment weighing up to 60 pounds
The ability to represent the organization and serve consumers in a professional manner and promote a positive image of the organization and its services
Preferred
One year OR Technician experience preferred
Ability to rotate shifts and / or work flexible hours to meet patient care needs
