The Multi-Modality Technologist I is responsible for providing diagnostic imaging across multiple specialties while ensuring patient understanding and cooperation throughout the procedures.

Responsibilities

Reviews patient history and physician's orders

Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation

Takes on call shift responsibilities as required by the department

Charges appropriately for all supplies used for procedure(s)

Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s) taking appropriate action to resolve image quality issues

Enters, transmits and reports scan results

Prepares equipment and supplies

Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters

Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment

Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary

Assists with preparation and administration of contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice

Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate

One (1) year of technologist experience in a hospital setting

Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in either of the following within one (1) year of hire date: Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), or Vascular Interventional Radiology (VI)
