Responsibilities
Designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions that align with the organization’s strategic goals and technical requirements
Leading the architectural design, documentation, and governance of cloud infrastructure
Ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security of cloud solutions
Working closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, security, and application development, to create and maintain a robust cloud environment
Qualification
Required
10+ years of progressive experience in cloud infrastructure management, systems architecture, or a closely related field
Demonstrated leadership in designing and managing cloud architecture in complex enterprise environments
Advanced proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud
Deep understanding of cloud architectural principles, security best practices, and compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, NIST)
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
Strong experience with automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)
Solid knowledge of system administration, networking, and disaster recovery planning
Experience conducting security audits, assessments, and supporting regulatory compliance initiatives
Proven ability to lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and drive technical strategy
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents outside regular business hours
Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and staying current with emerging technologies and cloud trends
Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions
Experience working in a large enterprise or academic medical center environment is highly desirable
Familiarity with DevOps practices and a collaborative engineering culture
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered
Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, TOGAF, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
Advanced certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Google Cloud Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer
