ENGINEER III - SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Integrity Communications Solutions is seeking a motivated Systems Engineer to support mission-critical systems within a dynamic and collaborative environment. This role involves a mix of systems administration, configuration management, cybersecurity, and engineering support, with a focus on ensuring compliance with Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide systems administration and help desk support for Windows, Linux (Red Hat), and Solaris environments
Install, configure, and update software; apply patches and troubleshoot system issues
Assist in implementing and monitoring cybersecurity solutions aligned with RMF controls and policies
Support configuration management processes using tools such as Git, Jenkins, or similar
Create and maintain technical documentation (e.g., system guides, job aids, version descriptions)
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to ongoing digital transformation initiatives
Collect and track system performance metrics and assist in preparing deliverables
Perform tasks related to media control, audits, and classified/unclassified data handling
Help automate routine system processes using scripting tools
Preforms other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field with 0–2 years of relevant experience, or
Master's degree in a related field with no prior experience required
Active Secret clearance required at time of hire
Must be able to obtain Top Secret clearance as required by program needs
Security+ required
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contracting requirements
Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance (U.S. citizenship required)

Preferred

Familiarity with RMF processes and cybersecurity compliance
Basic understanding of system hardening and STIG/Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) tools
Exposure to virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware) and performance monitoring tools
Ability to read and write simple automation or shell scripts (Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
Experience with collaboration and ticketing tools such as Jira, Confluence, or SharePoint
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
