Start in 2026 SummerGreater New York Insurance Companies is seeking an Actuarial Intern for the Summer of 2026. The intern will assist in conducting competitor analysis for Commercial GL, Property, and Auto lines of business, involving research on competitor rate filings and maintaining Tableau dashboards for presentation of results.

Responsibilities
Research on competitor rate filings for Commercial GL, Property, and Auto lines of business
Perform competitor analyses for Commercial GL, Property, and Auto lines of business
Update Tableau dashboards to compare GNY and competitor filings
Update competitor analysis SQL Server database tables based on rate filings research
Update and maintain SQL code to output final competitor analysis tables
Participate in special projects and performs additional duties as required
Qualification
Required
Minimum two years of college completed in Actuarial, Statistics, Computer Science, Math, Engineering or related field
Experience in building spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel required
Strong ability to quickly learn new programming languages or software
Strong ability to perform work efficiently and accurately
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong ability to read through and analyze policy coverages
Preferred
Programming experience in SQL, R, VBA, or other languages preferred
Working knowledge of Tableau preferred
