Insurance Defense Attorney
Abrams Fensterman, LLP is a vibrant, busy, and growing full-service law firm looking to add an Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to assist and support their Transportation Department. The successful candidate will handle cases from inception to trial, participate in court appearances, and be involved in all phases of litigation.

Proficiency in handling cases from inception to trial and appeal
Appear regularly in Court to participate in conferences and oral arguments
Depositions and motion practice
Qualification
Required
1-3 years of experience within Insurance Defense
Self-starter with a strong work ethic and organizational skills
Good oral communication skills
Ability to communicate and be personable with clients, court staff, adversaries, and witnesses
True team player genuinely interested in working in a supportive, collaborative environment
Experience in all phases of litigation including but not limited to drafting litigation documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery demands
Taking depositions
Conducting research
Appearing in Court
Proficiency in handling cases from inception to trial and appeal
Appear regularly in Court to participate in conferences and oral arguments
Depositions and motion practice
Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Have graduated from law school and have sat for the bar. Pending admission is acceptable
Licensed to practice law in New York
1-3 years of experience in Litigation
Must be detail and deadline oriented
Ability to work independently and immediately engage in client contact and assume relevant responsibilities
Demonstrated ability to be flexible and prioritize work tasks in an effective manner
Strong oral and written advocacy skills
Comfortable working with all levels of business professionals, including senior management and all colleagues at other departments in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook
Preferred
Insurance defense background and/or knowledge of New York State No-Fault law
Licensed to practice law in New Jersey
