Patient Access Coordinator I

Responsibilities

Registering patients and scheduling appointments in Cadence and/or OpTime
Coordinating care with other services and minimizing access delays
Processing incoming referrals
Triaging patient telephone calls to appropriate resources
Sending MyChart invitations
Collecting and/or updating demographic and financial information for optimal reimbursement
Checking in patients
Collecting copays and outstanding balances
Informing of and collecting signed consent for care
Maintaining standards for infection prevention
Participating in strategic initiatives and hospital goal work
Effectively communicating with patients/families

Qualification

Epic TrainingCustomer ServiceHealthcare ExperienceAdministrative SupportBilingual Skills

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two (2) years customer service and/or administrative support experience, and/or healthcare experience with/without scheduling and registration experience
Must complete Epic Training and obtain a passing score on EUPA test within two (2) weeks of start date

Preferred

Associate's Degree or at least two (2) years of college coursework in health care or related field
Minimum of three (3) years experience working in a health care setting or related field
Significant experience working with the general public in a health care/customer service environment
Familiarity with other cultures/bilingual skills
