Responsibilities

Sets, adjusts and controls radiology equipment to apply ionizing radiation for radiologic procedures. Measures and selects proper electronics and technical factors such as kilovolts, milliamperes and exposure time. Consistently produces high quality images and interprets technical quality of images as related to quality assurance standards

Analyzes patient's general body size, physical condition and age to accurately perform radiologic examinations. Under direction of a physician, and with appropriate licensure, may inject contrast material and/or medication

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualification

ARRT certificationWA State Radiologic Technologist licensureBLS certificationRadiology equipment operationPatient care competenceRadiology experience

Required

ARRT, or registry eligible

Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire

Training specific to the operation of radiology equipment

Displays competence in dealing with unique need of patients and clinicians

Current WA State Radiologic Technologist licensure

Preferred

1 year of experience in radiology setting
