Responsibilities

Performs all procedures proficiently and strives to maintain high quality
Assists Radiologists and/or Physician with invasive procedures using aseptic/sterile technique
Properly prepares and administers contrast materials associated with imaging procedures that are within the scope of practice as prescribed by a physician or in approved Radiology protocol
Prepares room for procedures using approved cleaning protocol. Appropriately discards sharps and maintains adequate level of supplies and linen
Assures that proper radiation safety measures are being utilized
Implements emergency procedures, as needed
Performs department and hospital related computer functions pertinent to job. Enters and records data accurately and promptly. Exhibits competency in performing QC tasks associated with equipment and procedures and ensures standards are met according to state and federal regulations
Stays abreast of organizational, affiliate and departmental changes/updates by checking email on each shift
Participates independently in call rotation
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualification

Interventional radiology experienceARRT certificationSCRQSA certificationBLS certificationEpic RadiantComputer literateData entry skillsMathematical skillsBasic computer skills

Required

Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
One (1) year experience in interventional radiology, cath lab, or diagnostic radiology
Registered in primary modality within 18 months
ARRT registered
SCRQSA certification
BLS certification
Able to operation diagnostic imaging equipment/computers
Computer literate
Able to treat patients of all ages
Basic computer skills
Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)
Data entry skills
Mathematical skills

Epic Radiant preferred
