Responsibilities
Complete recording of abnormalities on the checklists, DPU reports, and/or nonconforming material reports
Inspecting fabricated parts
Inspecting sub-assemblies
Inspecting final assemblies
An awareness of necessary safety practices and procedures
Maintain appropriate levels of housekeeping
Data entry and reporting on spreadsheets and specific report documentation
Problem solving
Qualification
Required
One to three years of experience inspecting in a manufacturing environment
Basic understanding of GD&T
Basic understanding of Metrology
MS Outlook skills
Ability to use shop math
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings for fabricated parts, mechanical assemblies and specials
Ability to use basic dimensional measuring tools. (mics, calipers, height gage, pins gages, threaded gages, measuring tape)
Ability to use a resistance meter
Ability to maintain accurate records
Ability to support departmental team members on short notice
Ability to change your start times on short notice as needed
Ability to work independently in a service-oriented environment
Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing
Ability to use a pallet jack and ladder safely
Ability to inspect from elevated heights when necessary
Willingness to learn software such as Oracle, Compliance Quest (QMS), Wriker, and SmarTeam
Ability to navigate to E-Docs and Operating System Documents on SharePoint or EVault
