Responsibilities
Architect and build scalable, reliable, and secure compute and recovery solutions for OCI
Lead complex investigations, root cause analysis, and performance improvements at scale
Drive adoption of automation and monitoring for health, triage, remediation, and diagnostics
Define standards for coding, testing, deployment, and operational excellence within the team
Coach, mentor, and review work from less-senior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth
Identify and evaluate new technologies and technical approaches for continuous product evolution
Present technical designs and roadmap initiatives to senior leadership and cross-org stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
8+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and operating high-scale distributed systems or infrastructure platforms
4+ years of experience with OS kernel internals (e.g., memory management, device drivers, or kernel subsystems)
Experience in systems level performance evaluation using benchmarking tools
Deep expertise in cloud virtualization, compute orchestration, OS image management, high-availability, and disaster recovery
Proficient in systems-level programming languages such as C, C++, Rust, and/or Go
Demonstrated history of technical leadership, decision-making, and mentoring
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with experience presenting complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
