Sr. Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for accounting, administration, and maintaining internal controls for the U.S./Canada F&II plants, providing analytical support and driving process improvements.
Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze monthly spend accrual entries in various account subgroups across multiple plants
Prepare monthly analysis reports comparing actuals vs forecast for production, manufacturing expenses
Work cross-functionally across plants to prepare monthly forecasts and periodic budgets (fixed and variable costs) timely and accurately
Prepare yield/accounting each month, analyzing data for reasonability
Assist in physical inventory counts/reconciliations as required
Lead preparing, analyzing and adjusting supplies and packaging inventory/consumption to help operations and finance groups to understand and accurately assess usages
Prepare key entries for inventory/consumption, analysis and reporting for key supply used in sweetener manufacturing
Prepare monthly account reconciliations assigned in a timely manner to ensure internal control policies are being followed
Assist in process reviews periodically to standardize and enhance procedures across the COE (Center of Excellence) & plant operations
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with all units and functional managers across local and remote locations to ensure accurate and timely reporting of plant financial performance
Assist and help guide Audit data requests as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
2+ years relevant experience
Consistently perform tasks with accuracy and adherence to deadlines
Business Acumen – knows how business operates and effectively provides business context for financial information. Understands business strategy and translates effectively to analysis and decision support
Demonstrated ability to identify issues, develop solutions and drive process improvements. Knows how to get things done through formal channels and through leveraging informal networks
Proven verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate to various levels within the organization
Proven proficiency in Microsoft office tools (Intermediate/Advanced in Excel)
Experience using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) costing systems
Preferred
CPA preferred or equivalent experience
SAP experience preferred
