Postdoctoral Associate | Molecular Biology
The Jackson Laboratory is an independent, nonprofit biomedical research institution focused on genomic solutions for disease. They are seeking a highly motivated PhD-level scientist to join the Hinson lab, which aims to leverage human pluripotent stem cell technology and advanced structural biology to study mechanisms of sarcomere assembly and function.

Responsibilities
Join a trans-continental collaborative group funded by the Human Frontiers Science Program
Leverage human pluripotent stem cell technology and advanced structural biology methods to define mechanisms and rules of sarcomere assembly and function
Access a world-class consortium of scientists across pluripotent stem cell biology, 3-dimensional organoids/microtissue assays, super resolution microscopy, and structural biology
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in cell biology, molecular biology, biophysics, biomedical engineering, or related field of study
Prior research experience in at least two of the following areas: pluripotent stem cell biology and differentiation, advanced microscopy, genome editing, and proteomics
Candidates should have a publication record in peer-reviewed journals
Excellent writing and communication skills, able to work independently and effectively with other members in a productive team across continents
Experience with R, Python or similar statistical package is helpful, as well as experience with proteomics data analyses and bioinformatics
