Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate abatement crews on-site, ensuring all work is performed safely and in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations
Plan, schedule, and oversee daily abatement activities, including asbestos, lead, and mold removal projects
Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members, fostering a culture of safety and excellence
Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments, and enforce all safety protocols and company policies
Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies
Maintain accurate project documentation, including work logs, safety records, and compliance reports
Ensure proper setup and maintenance of containment barriers, decontamination units, and PPE usage
Troubleshoot project challenges and resolve issues promptly to keep projects on track
Oversee the proper packaging, labeling, and disposal of hazardous materials
Participate in project planning, estimation, and resource allocation
Qualification
Required
Valid Supervisor Certification for asbestos abatement, in accordance with Oregon state and federal regulations
Minimum 4 years of hands-on abatement experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or crew lead role
Proven experience running abatement crews on various project types (residential, commercial, or industrial)
High school diploma or GED required; additional technical or safety training preferred
Strong knowledge of abatement methods, safety regulations, and best practices
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and physical exam
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work in physically demanding environments and wear PPE for extended periods
Preferred
Additional certifications (e.g., OSHA, HAZWOPER, lead safety, first aid/CPR)
Experience with project management software and digital reporting tools
Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
