Principal Environmental Remediation Practice Leader

Responsibilities
Strategic business planning to segment and target specific industrial, commercial, and municipal clients for projects such as water supply, water treatment, and water re-use
Implementation of a personal business development plan to expand services and revenue with new and existing clients, in coordination of companywide business development plans
Project management and oversight of technical issues/work products; budgeting and budget management; adherence to schedule, quality, health, and safety protocols; client satisfaction; and profitability
Recruiting, managing, and mentoring junior staff and mid-career engineers and scientists
Reviewing and leading preparation of technical documents, drawings, specifications, and proposals
Preparing for and participating in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties; and
At times, the position may also include fieldwork including contractor oversight and process troubleshooting tasks
Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, chemical, or environmental preferred), geology, or a related field
At least 10 years of direct environmental consulting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated experience in industrial and municipal clients with remedial investigation/design/construction/operation, maintenance & optimization/closure; Brownfield redevelopment, and other related projects
Demonstrated working knowledge of Federal and California regulations
Experience managing multi-disciplinary project teams
Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients and growing a practice that sustains a group of professional junior staff
Excellent leadership and detail-orientation skills
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed
Strong oral and technical writing skills
Valid U.S driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel
Preferred
Advanced degree in the same
Professional registration (i.e., P.E. P.G.)
15+ years of direct environmental consulting experience
