Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential electrical issues, including wiring, outlets, light fixtures, breaker panels, and other electrical components
Perform routine electrical system inspections, maintenance, and code compliance checks
Provide outstanding customer service by clearly explaining work performed, offering recommendations, and addressing homeowner concerns
Install smart devices such as smart switches, thermostats, and connected home technologies
Ensure all work meets local electrical codes, industry best practices, and company quality standards
Maintain accurate documentation of service visits, including job notes, materials used, and time on site
Communicate daily job status updates to the Service Manager or relevant team members
Adhere to and maintain company safety protocols and standards at all times
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to keep certifications and knowledge current
Qualification
Required
Minimum 2 years of residential electrical field experience, with proven expertise in troubleshooting and service work
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record
Strong understanding of electrical code requirements and the ability to ensure compliance on every job
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to homeowners
Ability to work efficiently under deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple service calls
Self-motivated and task-driven, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop 'on-the-spot' solutions
Willingness to work overtime as needed and travel overnight for training as required
Ability to pass a background check
Proficiency using hand and power tools, with the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and at varying heights
