They are seeking an International Operations Specialist responsible for managing all aspects of international import/export freight shipments and ensuring compliance with global trade regulations while supporting carrier, client, and agent relationships.

Responsibilities
Coordinate all freight import and export operations: quotations, bookings, documentation, shipment tracking, billing
Issue airway bills, bills of lading and any other requisite shipping and/or transport documentation, and invoices; maintain all shipment records
Communicate with airline, shipping, rail and/or trucking companies, vendors, warehouses, customers and agents
Verify weights/dimensions of cargo and resolve discrepancies
Advise clients on transport options, insurance, delivery terms, freight costs, compliance, and payments
Negotiate spot rates with all carriers and other logistics providers
Ensure compliance with regulations involving hazardous goods, export controls, and licensing
Maintain monthly operations and performance reports
Review and verify vendor invoices before submission to accounting
Accurately enter data into company logistics software (invoices, AWBs, shipment documentation)
Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, agents, and partners
Qualification
Required
Manage all aspects of international import/export freight shipments
Knowledge of and ensuring compliance with global trade regulations
Support carrier, client, and agent relationships
Negotiate competitive freight rates
Ensure smooth logistical operations from origin to final destination
Coordinate all freight import and export operations: quotations, bookings, documentation, shipment tracking, billing
Issue airway bills, bills of lading and any other requisite shipping and/or transport documentation, and invoices; maintain all shipment records
Communicate with airline, shipping, rail and/or trucking companies, vendors, warehouses, customers and agents

Preferred
Two (2) years of experience in international freight forwarding is preferred, to include import/export air, ocean and ground freight transport
Knowledge and experience with IATA regulations – a current license or certification is preferred
Knowledge of global logistics, customs, and international compliance standards
