Administrative Fellow - Alaska Native and/or American Indian Candidates - Summer 2026
The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium is a non-profit organization focused on meeting the health needs of Alaska Native and American Indian people. Responsibilities
Collaborate with department heads and administrators to optimize hospital operations and enhance efficiency
Participate in strategic planning and the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the highest quality of patient care
Assist in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost efforts to maximize the organization's fiscal health
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives by collecting and analyzing data, identifying areas for improvement, and assisting in the development of improvement plans
Support various projects aimed at improving healthcare delivery, patient experience, and operational effectiveness
Manage project timelines, resources, and stakeholder communications
Participate in leadership development programs, workshops, and mentoring opportunities to foster professional growth
Work closely with senior administrators to gain insights into leadership roles within healthcare organizations
Qualification
Required
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare management software
A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding ethical standards
Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks concurrently and meet deadlines
Moderate skill in project management
Ability to explain and instruct effectively
Masters in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with a Healthcare focus, or Masters in Public Health (MPH)
