Responsibilities
Interpret custom door and window designs to create detailed technical drawings and specifications
Specify materials, dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing processes for each custom door and window
Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations
Collaborate with the design team to refine and optimize designs for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness
Communicate with the fabrication team to ensure technical drawings and specifications are clearly understood and followed
Update and maintain technical documentation and design files
Qualification
Required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience specifically in designing custom doors and windows
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar programs
In-depth knowledge of door and window construction, materials, and manufacturing processes
Familiarity with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations related to doors, windows, and entryways
Strong attention to detail and the ability to create accurate, detailed technical drawings and specifications
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the design and fabrication teams
