Meat Manager

The Meat Manager is responsible for ensuring the meat department operates to company standards, driving sales, maximizing profitability, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Retail
Responsibilities
Uses knives and power equipment, cuts and/or packages authorized beef, pork and poultry items according to the policies and procedures
Prepares and places meat cuts and products in the display counter according to the procedures so they will appear attractive and appealing to the customers
Orders product based on customer’s wants and needs. Review bills for proper billing
Receives, inspects, and stores meat upon delivery, to maintain cold chain and ensures meat quality
Ensures excellent sanitation and quality standards are met daily which adhere to the policy
Responsible for accurate monthly inventory count and maximizing gross profit
Qualification
Required
Must be 18 years of age
Ability to regularly lift 50lbs
Preferred
Experience safely using manual pallet jacks, hand tools and power equipment, including but not limited to knives, wrappers, scales, slicers, cubing machine, and power saw
Experience with ordering, rotation, training, monthly inventory
