Responsibilities
Work to design manufacturing equipment for testing and assembling of centrifugal and multi stage compressors
Onsite Coordinator for multiple design Projects in Air Compressors for HVAC applications
New Product Design & development of Compressors subsystems (Preferred experience in rotating equipment design & development)
Design calculations as per ASME standards
DFMEA, Risk analysis & Mitigation plan as part of new product development
Coordinate vendors for Manufacturability check, RFQ & proto development & Testing
Support for documentation for certifications
Qualification
Required
Bs in mechanical
10+ years experience
3D CAD design experience (Solidworks)
Experience with centrifugal compressors
New product development experience
Knowledge of GD&T
Experience with DFMEA
Knowledge of Tolerance
Knowledge of Casting
Design calculations as per ASME standards
Coordinate vendors for Manufacturability check, RFQ & proto development & Testing
Support for documentation for certifications
Proficient with Solidworks
Knowledge of mechanical and manufacturing systems
Ability to develop new equipment from concept through launch
Knowledge of machining and tolerances
Knowledge of material properties
Proficiency in selection of materials and OEM components
Ability to adopt engineering principles and technologies during equipment/machine development
Experience of engineering change management
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues
Preferred
Preferred experience in rotating equipment design & development
