Responsibilities
As a Visual UX Designer, you will be hands on, working alongside a talented team of designers, researchers and technologists focused on the digital aesthetics of our Fire TV device experiences
You will utilize your strong understanding of visual systems and best practices, including layout, color palette, typography, iconography and illustrations
You are at ease visualizing an experience in the abstract, building consensus, and then driving that vision into concise design deliverables
As a tastemaker and visual storyteller, you will advocate for design excellence and help create meaningful, emotional connection between customers and our products
You think holistically, and craft the "why" of all that we ship – advocating for your design solutions by putting them in context of business and customer goals
You have a strong understanding visual systems and best practices, including layout, typography and interface design
You are able to take those understanding and build component libraries, define tokens, and establish guidelines for other designers to use
Qualification
Required
1+ years of design experience
Have an available online portfolio
Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, ProtoPie, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar
Preferred
Experience working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
Knowledge of mobile and web design patterns and accessibility standards
Demonstrative experience crafting design concepts that inform the future vision for a digital product – and collaborating with motion designers, illustrators, and content creators
