DBSI Services is a rapidly growing staffing agency specializing in various industries. They are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer who will be responsible for communicating with suppliers, conducting audits, and analyzing data to resolve issues and improve quality metrics.

Responsibilities

Analyze & validate the reported internal supplier issues

Determine cause & responsibility by reviewing drawings or specifications & measuring parts

Notify suppliers, initiate containment, update internal systems & generate/ follow up on corrective actions

Perform virtual & onsite supplier audits as needed

Address products’ paperwork issues with suppliers & maintain the systems

Maintain & generate reports/charts for metrics utilizing data mining from various support systems

Accuracy, attention to details & appropriate turnaround time in all internal & external communication

Experience in advancing a Zero-Defect culture utilizing advanced Quality tools such as statistical analysis, PFMEA,8D corrective action, A3 problem solving, 5 why analysis, Ishikawa diagrams and other six sigma tools

Ability to solve a wide range of difficult problems in imaginative and practical ways and evaluate alternative solutions that may require coordination across multiple teams. Ability to establish goals and objectives to complete projects

Prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment

Travel 25% or less domestic and international

Hands-on expertise in measurement methods & tools

Data analysis & mining – Pivot charts

Supplier quality audit experience

US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible

At least 5 years' experience in demonstrated process improvement success; proven accomplishments utilizing Lean tools/methodologies; Structured Problem Solving, 5S, Mistake-Proofing and process capability tools required to drive the continuous improvement culture into the organization

4+ years' experience as a Quality Engineer in Aerospace

M.S. or B.S. degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or related job experience

APQP/PPAP background is strongly preferred but not required

Net-Inspect experience is strongly preferred but not required
