The role involves designing fixtures and tooling, collaborating with engineering teams, and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities

Design fixtures, gages, and tooling to support the manufacturing process for aerospace hardware

Utilize Siemens NX to create tooling designs and blueprints

Collaborate with the manufacturing engineering team on project development and investigations related to tooling

Assess tooling builds for internal production or outsourcing to tooling vendors; interact with tooling vendors as needed

Work closely with the manufacturing engineering team to incorporate design changes or specifications

Drive continuous process improvement initiatives, adhering to safe work practices

Implement measures to reduce costs, enhance quality, and increase throughput for both new and existing processes

Maintain tooling blueprint storage location in compliance with customer policies and procedures

Provide support on the shop floor

Assist in the Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) process

Required

Bachelor's degree and 2 or more years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, or quality environment; or an Associate's degree and 4 or more years of experience in such fields; or in lieu of a degree, 6 or more years of relevant experience

Proven experience in cross-functional project work

Proficiency in 3D modeling/drafting software, with preference given to experience with Siemens NX

Familiarity with Microsoft Office software, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)

U.S. citizenship is required, as access to information under this program/contract is restricted to U.S. citizens

Experience with Siemens NX, ASME Y14.5, GD&T, Machining fixtures, inspection fixtures, Designing machining tools
