Law Practice
Responsibilities
Manage a diverse immigration caseload, including EOIR Representation: Master Calendar Hearings, Individual Hearings, and Bond Hearings
USCIS Proceedings: Adjustment of Status, Naturalization, Credible Fear Interviews (CFIs), and other USCIS interviews
Family Court Representation: Appear in Massachusetts Family Courts for SIJS (Special Immigrant Juvenile Status) cases
Prepare and review immigration forms, petitions, and supporting evidence
Draft motions, briefs, and related filings
Manage case progress and supervise support staff as needed
Track deadlines and maintain organized, accurate files
Communicate clearly with clients and set proper expectations
Handle correspondence with government agencies, courts, and opposing counsel
Qualification
Required
Active member of the Massachusetts Bar in good standing
EOIR Registration Required – must be registered to practice before the Immigration Court
Strong advocacy and courtroom skills with a desire for litigation work
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Highly organized and able to manage multiple cases efficiently
Preferred
Spanish or Portuguese proficiency preferred but not required
Immigration law experience is helpful, but training available for candidates passionate about the field
