Senior Platform Network Engineer (Onsite)
RTX is a leading company focused on defense and aerospace solutions, and they are seeking a Senior Platform Network Engineer. This role involves network engineering and design, hands-on administration, implementation, and troubleshooting of Enterprise Level Juniper network systems to support satellite data management capabilities.

Responsibilities
You will leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to design, deploy, implement, modernize, and support scalable Juniper network solutions
You will design/architect/develop and support Juniper Network systems optimizing for performance and scalability across multiple computing environments
You will utilize your experience for command-line interface (CLI) knowledge for configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Juniper hardware
You will utilize your Linux skills at the command line to deploy updates and change products for Juniper based network systems to support program needs
You will provide guidance on network resource allocation, utilization, and optimization
You must be a strong troubleshooter with experience in network issue mitigation as well as prevention
You will use your In-depth knowledge of core routing and switching protocols, such as Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Intermediate System to Intermediate System (IS-IS), Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), and Virtual LANs (VLANs) to support the program’s networking needs
Qualification
Required
Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and a minimum 5 years of related work experience
Advanced Experience designing, configuring, deploying, and supporting Juniper network systems
Experience with Linux System Administration (E.g. RHEL 6.0+)
Comp TIA Security + within 90 days after starting in the role
Current TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance is required day 1. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred
Current Juniper Networking Certification (JNCIA-Junos; JNCIS-SP; JNCIP; JNCIE) is highly desired
Experience with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) concepts and their implementation on Juniper platforms
Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (E.g.: Scrum, SAFe)
Experience with Juniper's cloud networking solutions, including those integrating with public cloud providers like AWS and Azure, and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
Experience with code repository systems (E.g. ClearCase, Bit Bucket)
Basic Experience with scripting languages (E.g. Python, Java, Ruby, Bash)
Basic Experience Using Automation Frameworks
Experience in other network products (E.g. Cisco, Cisco Nexus, Cisco ASA, Brocade) is a plus
Basic Experience with containerization tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher is a plus
