IT Systems Administrator – GCCS Operations
Arch Systems, LLC is seeking an experienced GCCS Administration Contractor to support system administration and maintenance across RHEL and Microsoft Windows environments. The role involves troubleshooting, configuration, and ensuring security compliance in DoD environments while collaborating with IT teams and military personnel.

Responsibilities
Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot RHEL servers and Microsoft Windows systems in networked environments
Perform system installation, configuration, and updates for x86 RHEL servers, Windows client workstations, and RHEL Virtual Machines
Configure and manage Agile Server/Agile Client applications
Edit configuration files, write shell scripts, and perform administrative tasks via command-line interfaces and text editors (e.g., vi)
Ensure systems meet DoD 8570.1-M security compliance standards
Collaborate with IT teams and military personnel to ensure secure, reliable, and optimized system performance
Maintain system documentation, security configurations, and operational procedures
Qualification
Required
Active Secret Clearance
Minimum 4 years of system administration experience
At least 3 years specialized in administrating RHEL in a network environment
At least 2 years specialized in administrating Microsoft Windows systems in a network environment
Security+ certification (IAT Level II) per DoD 8570.1-M requirements
Strong technical skills, including editing configuration files, writing scripts, and command-line administration
Hands-on experience with installing/configuring x86 RHEL servers
Microsoft Windows client workstation setup
RHEL Virtual Machine setup and management
Agile Server/Agile Client applications
Education requirement: BA/BS degree, OR AA/AS degree, OR 7+ years of directly related work experience in lieu of a degree
Preferred
Advanced certifications such as RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer), MCSE, or CISSP
Prior experience working in DoD or military environments
Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and DISA STIG compliance
Experience with system performance monitoring and optimization tools
Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional and military teams
Ability to train and mentor junior administrators
