Responsibilities

Work closely with data analysts, data engineers, and machine learning engineers, understanding their future needs and current challenges
Propose, architect, design, and implement solutions and best practices to maximize the time product teams can spend on their immediate goals, while minimizing unrelated technical hurdles
Continuously enhance the software engineering culture within the data organization
Isolate and understand development, performance, and stability issues alongside the data infrastructure team

Required

Highly experienced Python engineer
Proven track record of supporting multiple product teams simultaneously
Expert fluency in Python
Ideally SQL fluency
Understanding of programming language internals
Advanced knowledge of software engineering practices
Advanced knowledge of testing methodologies
Passionate about high-quality code
Experience with automated testing
Ability to self-manage and prioritize tasks
Ability to deliver functional solutions
Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Advanced knowledge in one or more of: container-based software development workflows (Kubernetes, Docker, Podman), Snowflake, AWS, Apache Airflow, & Kafka
Experience with SQL, analytical databases and data analytics
