Qualification
Required
Licensed with the State of Connecticut's Department of Public Health
Graduated from an accredited school of mortuary science
Received passing scores on both the arts and sciences sections of the International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards' National Board Examination
Graduate of an accredited mortuary college
Successful completion of the National Board Examination
Physical ability to lift and work with deceased human remains
Valid and clean driver's license/record
Professional appearance and attitude at all times
Ability to register with the State of Connecticut, Department of Public Health as an Embalmer/Funeral Director
Preferred
Dependable -- more reliable than spontaneous, eager to help team members
Adaptable/flexible -- enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction
Detail-oriented -- would rather focus on the details of work than the bigger picture
