Wonderful Orchards is the world's largest grower of almonds, pistachios, and pomegranates, and is seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Manager – Financial Reporting to join their corporate team in Shafter, CA. This key leadership role involves overseeing financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and managing the accounting team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Oversee accounting operations to ensure the general ledger is accurate, complete, and compliant across multiple entities

Manage and streamline the monthly closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting

Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external financial statements, including detailed variance analysis, to meet reporting requirements

Lead the consolidation of financial results across business units, maintaining and enhancing the consolidation system. Coordinate with corporate team on enterprise-wide financial reporting requirements

Serve as the primary contact for external auditors. Prepare audit schedules and financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) and address audit inquiries

Maintain compliance with lease accounting standards (Lease Accelerator) and ensure accurate revenue recognition processes and documentation

Review and approve monthly account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and alignment with corporate policy

Work with sister companies and corporate team to align intercompany balances and reporting

Identify and implement best practices to enhance accounting procedures, controls, and systems

Contribute to special projects and respond to executive requests with relevant financial input

Supervise and support accounting team to ensure efficient day-to-day operations with focus on career development and learning

Participate in finance leadership activities and help improve accounting practices across the organization
