Security Technology Analyst - UT Police Department

The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Security Technology Analyst to join the University of Texas Police Department in Houston, TX. In this critical role, you will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and reporting on data related to threat and risk incidents, while also managing and configuring institutional security systems to enhance campus safety.

Responsibilities

Researches, analyzes and reports on data from various sources related to threat/risk incidents, investigations and background checks
Monitors social media risk-based watch lists and other data sources and makes recommendations to mitigate risk and increase campus safety
Identifies trends and develops risk mitigation actions and strategies
Works with other Threat and Risk Protection Analysts to provide analysis and solutions to threat/risk incidents
Assists with outreach efforts to educate on behavioral patterns and trends
Ensures information management procedures comply with federal, state and institutional policies
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Driver License (DL) by State of Texas required
Bachelor's Degree Required
5 years of experience in risk evaluation and analysis, threat assessments and analysis, law enforcement, general case investigations, behavioral intervention analysis, crisis management or conflict resolution required
This position is a security-sensitive position pursuant to Texas Education Code 51.215 and Texas Government Code 411.094
Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas

Preferred

Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) certification by the National Behavioral Intervention Team Association (NABITA) preferred
Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) by Residential Child Care Project (RCCP) at Cornell University preferred
Master's Degree Preferred
3 years experience in risk evaluation and analysis, threat assessment and analysis, law enforcement, general case investigations, behavioral intervention analysis, crisis management or conflict resolution preferred
