Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Spanish language lessons that align with TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) standards
Create a classroom culture of high expectations, academic rigor, and respect
Use a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to support diverse learners
Assess student progress regularly using formative and summative assessments
Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and communication
Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student success
Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school events
Enforce school policies and procedures to maintain a safe and orderly learning environment
Qualification
Required
Texas Teacher Certification in Spanish (Grades 6–12 or EC–12)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Demonstrated ability to teach Spanish at the high school level
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Commitment to educational equity and student achievement
Preferred
Bilingual in Spanish/English
