Field Service Tehnician

Vesuvius North America is a leading company in the refractory industry, seeking a Field Service Technician to manage and optimize application equipment. Responsibilities

Manage fabrication, assembly, wiring, testing and quality assurance of various types of application equipment utilized in the refractory industry
Installation and setup of equipment ensuring it is properly configured and calibrated for its intended application
Troubleshooting when equipment malfunctions or experiences issues
Diagnose problems, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to get the equipment back to working condition
Ensuring that equipment is capable of delivering accurate and consistent results
Remain up-to-date with relevant regulations, standards, and compliance requirements in the refractories field to ensure equipment adheres to these guidelines
Maintain records of equipment maintenance, repair history, and any changes made to the equipment
Equipment Upgrades and Optimization: As technology evolves, specialists may be involved in evaluating and implementing equipment upgrades and optimizations to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Track equipment inventory, order replacement parts, and manage the procurement of new equipment
Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect all users

Required

Strong welding and metal fabrication skills
Strong knowledge and understanding of electrical and pneumatic control circuits, AC and DC voltages
Strong knowledge and understanding of mechanical drive components
Strong mechanical and electrical machine assembly skills
Must be able to read and understand mechanical/electrical drawings
Must have the ability to identify, solve and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems
Candidate must have experience working with proper hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments to complete the required assignment
Good communication skills and computer literacy required. Microsoft Word, Excel
Strong organizational skills, time management skills along with good multi-tasking abilities
Candidate may be required to travel to various customer accounts where equipment is located per sales or customer requests
Associate of Science or Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technologies with 2+ years' experience
