Quality Improvement Lead - Critical Care

Responsibilities
Develops and executes strategic quality plans within the designated areas
Identifies and implements strategic and service-line specific quality initiatives
Applies specialized clinical quality improvement knowledge and sophisticated analytical skills to lead an innovative quality management and improvement program
Evaluates patterns, trends, and processes to improve the quality of care for patients across the Health System
Identifies gaps and facilitates clinical process improvement initiatives
Promotes a culture of continuous improvement
Independently leads multiple, broad-scope, highly complex process/quality improvement initiatives
Ensures consistency and rigor in assessing performance toward quality metrics
Leads the development of gap closure strategies in collaboration with clinical leadership
Promotes process/quality improvement principles
Leverages process/quality improvement tools and frameworks, change management strategies, and data analysis skills
Influences meaningful, data-driven change
Applies clinical environment knowledge and advanced understanding to lead complex projects
Communicates difficult concepts and influences leadership decision-making
Coordinates communication within and between multidisciplinary key collaborators and stakeholders
Ensures appropriate consultation and education regarding data analysis and improvement opportunities
Identifies, recommends, and implements improvement plans that move toward target clinical goals
Develops large scope, precedent setting processes and clinical performance improvement mechanisms
Qualification
Required
Master's Degree in Clinical Field
Clinical Licensure
2 years of relevant experience required
Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, organizational and facilitation skills
Strong knowledge of industry trends, best practices as they relate to the delivery of high quality and safe health care
Strong project management experience and experience using variety of quality tools (e.g., DMAIC, Lean Six Sigma, PDSA)
Demonstrate solid history of achieving results with complex and dynamic teams
Strong computer skills, including basic knowledge and use of Microsoft Office products
Ability to learn new systems software
Maintain continuing education credits and licensure as required by professional organization and/or licensing body
Maintains qualifications, training, and/or certifications necessary to access and/or analyze data reports; demonstrates commitment to continuing education related to job duties; meets mandatory education and health requirements; demonstrates competence in technical, interpersonal, and cognitive skills required to meet essential job functions
Preferred
4-6 years of relevant experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
