Responsibilities
Assist in conducting economic research and data analysis to examine current trends, policy impacts, or market conditions
Prepare summaries, charts, and reports to present findings clearly and effectively
Collect, organize, and process economic and statistical data using appropriate sampling techniques and econometric methods
Support the development of economic models or forecasts under the supervision of more senior staff
Perform literature reviews and assist in preparing background material for economic reports or briefings
Help formulate plans and recommendations based on economic data and policy analysis
Contribute to team discussions and assist in the preparation of presentations or client deliverables
Qualification
Required
Basic understanding of economic principles, micro/macro theory, and econometric techniques
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with statistical software (e.g., R, Stata, SAS, or Python)
Strong research, writing, and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow guidance from senior staff
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Economics, Public Policy, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
Direct experience with finance for an HQ level military entity 3 yrs experience working for or supporting the National Guard Bureau
At a minimum, a favorably adjudicated National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) or an equivalent or higher investigation
Preferred
Experience with economic modeling, cost-benefit analysis, or impact assessments
Exposure to public policy, regulatory analysis, or economic forecasting
