Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage cloud networking architectures (VPCs, subnets, routing, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and interconnects)
Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Helm, etc.)
Integrate networking into CI/CD workflows and cloud-native deployments (Kubernetes networking, ingress controllers, service mesh)
Troubleshoot Linux-based networking issues (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, iptables) across layers 3–7
Partner with cross-functional teams to improve performance, availability, and security
Contribute to network observability and monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
Document designs, processes, and runbooks; participate in on-call rotation

Qualification

Required

3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Network Engineering with a strong cloud focus
Hands-on expertise with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud networking (VPCs, routing, load balancing, firewalls)
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, Helm)
Experience with Kubernetes networking (CNI, ingress, service mesh)
Excellent troubleshooting skills in Linux networking
Strong communicator and collaborator who thrives in cross-functional teams

Preferred

Traditional data center networking knowledge (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers – Cisco, Arista, Juniper, F5)
Familiarity with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, GRE)
Experience with security best practices (network segmentation, zero-trust)
Exposure to observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog)
Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, or Go)
