Mission Edge is a non-profit organization focused on providing inclusive education through Includ(Ed), a preschool for children with and without disabilities. The Fall Internship Opportunity at Includ(Ed) offers college students or pre-professionals hands-on experience in various therapeutic and educational roles, supporting children aged 0–5 and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Support teachers and therapists in implementing inclusive, play-based learning activities

Assist with individual and small-group interventions, including speech, OT, and music therapy sessions

Engage children in developmentally appropriate play and learning experiences

Help create and organize classroom materials and visual supports

Participate in staff meetings and contribute to discussions around child development and inclusion practices

Collaborate with therapists and educators to observe and learn therapeutic techniques and teaching strategies

Support children with and without disabilities in accessing the preschool day

Required

Current college student or pre-professional interested in pursuing a degree in OT, Speech Therapy, Music Therapy, Education, Special Education, Child Development, or related fields

Passion for inclusive education and working with young children

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a team
