SolveNow is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to join their Substation team, focusing on delivering engineering and consulting services for projects across the U.S. and internationally. The role involves designing high-voltage substations, developing proposals, and mentoring junior engineers while contributing to business development and quality reviews.

Responsibilities

Lead and support design of high-voltage (13kV-500kV) substations

Develop proposals, scopes, conceptual designs, and execution plans

Prepare engineering estimates, schedules, and project deliverables

Execute physical substation designs: yard layouts, grounding, lightning protection, control buildings, raceways, AC/DC power systems, and material lists

Perform protection and control design: panel arrangements, one-lines, schematics, wiring, and relay panels

Conduct engineering studies and reports (grounding, load studies, etc.)

Develop equipment specifications for procurement and testing

Coordinate with civil/structural, transmission line, and other teams

Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance

Engage with clients and conduct quality reviews

Provide short-term construction field support

Contribute to business development and industry involvement
