Adjunct faculty plan classes and implements and evaluates teaching/learning objectives and student learning outcomes
Adjunct faculty undertakes the divisional and professional responsibilities of a part-time faculty member, including office hours
Qualification
Required
A Master's degree in Communication, Journalism, Film Production, Script Writing, or other related discipline and outstanding experience or potential for excellence in teaching Communication-related courses
The successful applicant will be expected to provide quality instruction in undergraduate Communication & Digital Media courses matching the instructor's background, education, and skills base
Adjunct faculty members may be required to use certain texts and meet certain parameters set by the Department of Communications and Digital Media
Adjunct instructors will also be required to include in their courses certain student assessment measures determined by the department, and to compile data on those assessment criteria
Preferred
PhD or MFA in Communication or related field, with significant experience in applied or professional communication
Significant experience in college instruction
Successful experience teaching adults in a post-secondary institution
Excellent communication skills in multicultural settings
Familiarity with online modes of delivery
